Gut zu wissen, daß es Leute gibt, die die Suche nach dem perfekten Popsong noch nicht aufgegeben haben.  Auf ihrem neuen Album "undress your alibis" gehen Velour den mit ihrem Debüt eingeschlagenen Weg weiter.  Immer weiter und höher in Richtung P!O!P!, immer auf der Suche nach dem großen Song, der Welten bewegt oder zumindest Beine. Die melancholisch-samtige Introvertiertheit ihres Debüt weicht einer elegant-verspielten Unbekümmernheit. Da tauscht man schon mal die Leselampe gegen die Discokugel ein und kombiniert unbeschwert Achtziger-Indie-Gitarren-Pop mit klassischen Sixties-Harmonien. Das Cover ist zwar noch nicht richtig fertig, aber eines wissen wir jetzt schon: das ist eine großartige Platte für einen großartigen Sommer. Aufgenommen und produziert wurde das Album in den Tambourine Studios in Malmö/Schweden von Per Sunding (u.a. The Cardigans, Swan Lee, the Ark).

This is happy and charming pop music with strings, trumpets and flutes, described by the band as a tribute to the sound of the late 60's. Perfect when the sun is shining (as it is now) and the songs should fit nicely on any summer compilation. Undress your alibis is a collection of 11 beautiful pop songs made and performed by 4 danish guys deeply devoted to the sound of the sixties and the way pop music was written back then. This is pop music with two major but contradictory and divergent ambitions: it want's to soothe the masses with thrillingly easy and catchy melodies, and yet it also want's to challenge the distinguished audience with inventive beats and extended harmonies. Undress your alibis is produced by the swedish producer Per Sunding (The Cardigans, Swan Lee, Superheroes) and the danish producer Morten Bue (Figurines, Moi Caprice).
